Privacy Policy

This policy applies to personal information you provide to us through this website — primarily by submitting the contact / request-a-quote form — and to basic web-traffic analytics collected when you visit the site.

It does not cover the handling of client scientific data (e.g. sequencing reads, genomic data) sent to us under a project engagement. Those practices are described on the Data & Privacy page.

• Contact form data: name, email address, organization (if provided), the project type you select, and the free-text message you send us.
• Basic web analytics: aggregated, cookieless traffic data via Cloudflare Web Analytics — page URLs, general geography (country/region), referrer, device type. No cookies are set and no cross-site tracking is performed.
• Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) retained short-term for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

• To respond to your inquiry and prepare a no-cost project estimate.
• To understand at an aggregate level how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• To operate the site securely and prevent abuse or spam.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell it. Contact-form data is never used to train AI systems, and it is never provided to an AI agent for any purpose.

By submitting the contact form, you consent to us using the information you provide to reply to your inquiry and to store it for the retention period below. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see below).

We use the following service providers to run this website; each processes only the minimum data required for its function:

• Cloudflare — hosting / edge and cookieless web analytics.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for contact-form submissions.

We do not otherwise disclose personal information to third parties, except where required by law.

Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if a project follows, for the lifetime of that engagement plus a short administrative period. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Server logs are retained short-term (typically 30 days) and then rotated off.

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email us at inquiries@platinumgenomics.ca. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern that we haven't resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to minimize risk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "effective" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be summarized here for visibility.
